For scrapbooking purposes....

I am not a fan of scrapbooking. I really really wish I was. Maybe I'm a slacker, I don't know. But the idea of sitting down and spending HOURS on scrapbooks does not sound like fun to me. So, I've decided that I'll stick with blogging and occasionally "slurp" - (yes that is the technical term according to research I've done) my blog into a printed photo book. Since this will be our "scrapbook," I don't want to leave much out...but I'm SOOO behind that it will take me forever. So, humor me on the LOONNG posts, or just don't read them...whatever. :)

Here is my big girl. I love these pictures because it really shows how she has changed from being a baby to a little girl....though of course she'll always be my baby.

And what does every big girl need? BOWS! of course. Sadie Beth loves her bows. She asks for them all the time. And she gets excited when she sees them in her hair in the mirror. As funny as this sounds, we actually had to have a few "bow-free-days" because she was so obsessed with constantly having to have them. Some mornings she was so focused on getting her bows she would not greet you with her cheery "hi!" until she had them in her hair and would scream if you left the room without bows in her hair.
I don't know if I've put up pictures of this, but the bottom drawer in the kitchen is "Sadie Beth's drawer." It is full of things she can "cook with" and play with. She will test me by trying to get into the other drawers even though she knows these are off limits. All I have to say is, "close it," and most of the time she does saying, "no, no, NO, no, no."

Almost every day we have fun time on Mama and Daddy's bed. Usually this is after she gets out of her pack and play time. She loves rolling around, bouncing, and being silly. It is one of my favorite parts of the day. I'm so proud of the way she is doing pack and play time right now...often times she will play contentedly until I go and get her at the 1 hour mark!!
Being silly with Daddy is lots of fun!
Hats are lots of fun too....sun or no sun.

"Mama said there'll be days like this, there'll be days like this my mama said!" I believe that's how the oldies song goes. Well, sometimes Sadie Beth has days like that. It doesn't happen very often...usually right before a new tooth. She's pretty pitiful, and sometimes a little ridiculous. I couldn't help myself on this day because she spent a good portion like this: (imagine child wailing)Luckily these times don't last too long and before you know it we are back to here again:

I love seeing Sadie Beth explore and learn...as it is with any toddler, her curiosity is ENDLESS!

Again, her curiosity is ENDLESS...if I turn my back for even a few minutes she will find some kind of trouble.
Meals are challenging sometimes...she has the typical toddler appetite: her favorite food one day is the one thing she won't eat the next. All in all though, I can't complain because she is a good eater. Sadie Beth LOVES this hand-me-down sweater from Abby. She went through a phase where she wanted to wear it all the time and would cry if we made her take it off. She wore it over sleepers and even wanted to wear it in the tub!
Time to pray! Sadie Beth knows that we pray before each meal, but sometimes goes a bit overboard....anytime someone gets up and returns to the table she wants to pray again.
We spent the night in Indy with Bridget and Sarah....well, Sadie Beth spent most of her time at this sliding glass door playing with the dog through the glass.
BEST FRIENDS!!! Here is Sadie Beth with her friend Amelia Mullins. They are only 11 days apart in age and already have so much fun playing together. It is so sweet to watch them and they entertain themselves, much to Abby and I's delight, for long periods of time!!!!

Just in case you didn't know, she's still "so big."

Ah...the Lunch Time book. Only $1.00 at Target, and I bet we've read it at least 500 times. We probably recite it in our sleep....

We still sit on the potty... a lot. It's pretty amazing that she is doing so well on it. She goes "poo-poo" (her words) usually 2-3 times a day on the potty chair.
Who knew a box could be so much fun? Elijah and Sadie Beth spent lots of time crawling in and out, in and out.
Happy Halloween. Sadie Beth dressed up as a dog and said, "woof woof" to everyone she saw that day. Needless to say, she was a big hit at the nursing home when we went to visit dad.
She loves to carry around our cups and pretend to drink from them. It makes her feel big. But what am I saying...she is big. :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one way behind on blogging :). It's really quite hard work! It's crazy how big Sadie Beth is getting. And so much personality! Sometimes I wonder where my little infant went to... :). And super props on the potty training thing!! (I do know what hours in the bathroom feel like :))
