Missing her Dadadadada...

Sadie Beth misses David like crazy. This morning after she finished nursing, she started crawling towards our bathroom (where David usually is in the morning) saying "Dadadada." When I picked her up and walked into the bathroom to show her he wasn't there, she started fussing! Then, while sitting on my lap at the computer and she saw the desktop picture with her and David. She lunged forward and started patting the screen where David was in the picture, squealing and shouting "Dadadada!" The icing on the cake was tonight while she was eating dinner though. David called and we talked for a little while with him on speaker. At the end of her dinner, about 10 minutes after we hung up from the first conversation, Sadie Beth starts crying and reaching for the phone, pitifully saying "Daadaadaadaaa." I thought she just wanted the phone because she is obsessed with cell phones but we called David back and as soon as she heard his voice she was instantly happy again squealing and laughing - so excited to be talking to her "Dadadada." David works so hard for us, both at Humana and at home. We are so blessed - me to have such an amazing husband who loves his girls like crazy and shows us every day in SO many ways and Sadie Beth to have such an incredible daddy that she adores

Missing my sweet husband!

My sweet husband is away for the first time since we've been married. He is off on a business trip in Texas for 2 LONG nights. I've been away a handful of nights since we've been married (to go visit my favorite girls in Indy), but this is a first for David. Sadie Beth misses her Daddy and I sure miss him a lot. Nonetheless, I'm making the most of my evening and trying to get caught up on the blog so I can post about our recent trip to Oregon! So, get ready for a deluge of pictures. She's awful cute, so I can't resist.
Sadie Beth is getting to be such a big girl...each day holds lots of new things. She is becoming more and more mobile and we see her fun personality coming through all the time. When Sadie Beth takes good naps, she is so much fun when she wakes up. We play peekaboo while she is still in her crib - I hide below the mattress and she gets so excited when I pop up in different spots. She thinks this is great. Now that she can pull up she looks for me so it is harder to trick her.
She loves her "biter biscuits." We've been waiting for tooth #8 for weeks now and keep thinking it is going to pop through any day...bless her heart teething is no fun.
I just want to eat her up...how can you resist this? We can't, but I'm sure we might be biased.
We were heading to Brownstown and I had to get a picture of her in her OshKosh jumper.
Like any other baby, Sadie Beth loves kitchen items...especially chewing on them.
When Sadie Beth had her staph infection back around Easter, we sent emails to our church prayer chain to have people pray as we were unsure of how serious the situation was. The next week, a very sweet lady gave her this outfit with a note that she prayed for Sadie Beth while she was making it. She's my little pilgrim baby!
Here are the September babies from church - Luke, Sadie Beth, and Elijah. If you look back to my October 2007 posts you will see a picture of them as newborns and before that of their pregnant mommas!
We LOVE our snuggles and take all that we can get!
This cute outfit was a present from Aunt Darla. This was on a Wednesday before our playdate at Abby's.
Our Wednesday playdates are such fun. I'm so thankful for my girlfriends that get together - it is such a nice midweek break and so encouraging to be with other moms. We've all been friends since high school and a few of us since middle school - can you believe it that we still see each other almost every week? Here is Sadie Beth with another September baby - maybe she and Amelia will grow up to be good friends like their mommies!
This is on Sadie Beth's 10 month birthday, 7/18/2008. I wish I could have a picture of every single smile. That sounds a little sappy, I know - but I love each one.
We still go to the pool every chance we get - Sadie Beth is having fun here with her hot daddy!
People always comment about how she is all smiles, but don't let her fool you - Sadie Beth can have quite the attitude when she wants to. I get this look from time to time...
At each end of the pool are stairs that sortof work as a baby pool for Sadie Beth. She loves crawling and splashing around and trying to climb on the sides.
Here is Sadie Beth in her new big girl car seat! She's been in it since the end of June and seems to like it alright.
I LOVE IT! How cute are they? I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family. So serious with their reading, and they did this for quite awhile too.
Sadie Beth loves playing with the baby in the mirror - you'd think it would get old, but actually it just gets more and more fun because as Sadie Beth becomes more active....so does the baby in the mirror! How ironic!?! Here she is giving the baby kisses:
Blogging world...meet "BunnyBear." BunnyBear (a Starbucks "bearista") is a bear dressed as a bunny and is one of Sadie Beth's most treasured friends, perhaps only equal to her beanie-baby sized Sesame Street dolls (pictures to come). She has him at night and during naps. As she is going to sleep she "talks" to bunny bear, perhaps filling him in on her day? She also chews on what was once his fluffy white tail...now it is just gross and matted and smells bad.
And we are now officially standing! Sadie Beth surprised me with this one day during her pack and play time. She was squealing and laughing and I had no idea why. I couldn't resist peeking in on her even though it is supposed to be independent play time, only to be greeted with this cute smile and proud wave.

"Can we go swimming yet?" Sadie Beth is thinking as she waits patiently for Momma.

Don't let her fool you. When I brush her teeth, she screams her head off. Seriously...We laugh all day long. I love having a goofy baby. I'm so thankful for her "spunky-ness."
Sadie Beth thinks she is so funny...and really she is a riot. I'm not sure if it is good or bad that she has this figured out. I've mentioned before that she "growls" at people. I have no idea where it came from but the growl continues to be more animated and dramatic.

My little sweet girl....oh how I love her so! It is so true that, "...every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father..." (James 1:17).
